Tis the season...to bundle up! While we all are preparing ourselves for a cold winter I have been able to enjoy some very warm weather here in Ohio, but of course keeping in mind that its already dropped twenty degrees since this weekend. I was pairing two of my favorite winter pieces together and came up with an outfit perfect for work, school or a fun day out! Personally I feel like the hardest item in the closet to layer with is a flannel, I find it quite difficult because I am so particular with making sure that the colors fit well together and making sure that it doesnt look too bulky. So I paired this Old Navy flannel with a Gap cardigan and my J Crew Gigi pants for a fun shoot that I happened to do with my best friend Cinci Prep. I really like how simple this look is but it still looks very put together and very cute. So ready for a holiday break and to have plenty of posts. 3 more days of exams and I will be free! (for two weeks)
Hope you are all enjoying your week!

Goodbye Fall, Hello Winter!
Hello loves, today I will be showing you my last little post about fall which is what I wore for Thanksgiving. From now on all my posts will be winter/holiday until further notice (yay) For this lovely day of thanks I kept it simple but still a very Kait outfit. I am wearing my Gap super skinnies and I love them I wear them all the time and being 5'8 I buy my jeans from the Gap in the long style and the fit perfectly- there's just a little tip for my tall girls out there! I paired it with a JCrew top which I bought over the summer on clearance and then of course the shoes of the season my Target booties....of course. Accessories wise I just wore my aviators because it was a beautiful day and very sunny! Hope you are all having a wonderful week

Thankful.
The usual question "what are you thankful for?" is one that I lately have been really thinking about. Yes of course I am thankful for my family and friends but recently I really have been looking into a deeper, more meaningful answer. In today's world we really never have a lot of time to step back and truly realize how much that we have to be grateful for. However, we do have one special day a year dedicated to realizing how thankful we truly are. I don't have any pictures to go along with this post because this post isn't like a usual post here on A Dash of Kait. I have truly never felt so lucky in my entire life. I have the greatest support system that I could ever ask for and there are so many people that I am so incredibly grateful for and I feel so lucky that I have the life that I do and I take so many things for granted sometimes but lately I truly have just been so full of love and I want to share that with you and hope that you all have the same feeling. I am so thankful for all the amazing opportunities in my life right now and the best part is that everything I am accomplishing are things that I have worked for. I truly believe that anything that comes easy is not worth having. That feeling when you get that grade you wanted or you got the job or you got into the college of your dreams are all things that you work for so when they happen you just are struck with such a feeling of accomplishment. Sometimes life is hard though, we all have times when we really just want to give up and quit but its pushing yourself through the times like that which really show you how strong you are and how much you are willing to work for what you want. I know that this is ranty and quite rambly but I just want all of you to be inspired this holiday season and remember that you can literally do ANYTHING that you put your mind to because you are so able and that is so cool to think about and I guess that is what I am so incredibly thankful for this season.
Until later,

Birthday Brunch! + out & about
Hello lovey readers! I am happy to say that I am now 17! After a crazy week I got to spend this weekend celebrating with friends and family! Saturday morning me and my gal pals got to enjoy an amazing brunch at this cute place called the Sleep Bee Cafe! IT WAS AMAZING! Not too mention my friends are literally the sweetest in the world, I was so lucky to get to spend the morning with some amazing ladies inside and out! I ordered The Avi Omlet which had avocado (insert heart eyes here) spinach, mushrooms and onion and it was so yummy with the white cheddar cheese in it! Making my mouth water even talking about it! I am also spending my day today (Sunday) with my entire family! Were shopping and grabbing dinner so those pictures will be up in another post! I am so thankful for all of the people who care so much about me and got to celebrate with me!
I'll catch ya on the flipside

Junior Year: 1st Quarter Wrap Up
Hello guys so its been a long time since I have done a more personal post like this but I thought it would be nice to switch somethings up for your morning! So as many of you know I am a junior in high school and most would say that junior year is the hardest and it truly has been the hardest year for me. I would not say that its been a bad start of the school year however, while school of course is very stressful as junior year is the last year that colleges really get to see your academic abilities outside of school it has been so much fun. So lets talk about my life...
My friends that I have now are the ones that I really care about and after a rough year last year of struggling with friends and where I fit in I will say that I have my small group of people that I love with my whole heart and along with that I am meeting new people everyday that are slowly being added to my group of friends. I love meeting new people and I blows my mind that I haven't met some of these people earlier in my life. This year however has been quite the journey because two of my closest friends have suffered significant losses in their families so it hasn't really been the happiest past few months but we really have gotten close while sharing our condolences for our friends and their families and we all really realized how thankful we are for each other and how much we really need each other. Along with my friends I have been blessed with an amazing boyfriend who supports me in everything I do and is a reader of both ADashOfKait and my articles on Undeniable Report. He is truly my anchor and I thank the lord everyday for having such an amazing boy in my life.
Back to school stuff, I am not the girl that takes a lot of AP classes however this year I decided to take AP European History and I would say that this is easily one of my favorite classes that I have ever taken, my class load is rough with Chemistry and Algebra 2 and my 3rd year of Spanish but I know that once I finish this year it is smooth sailing. I would say that the hardest part of junior year is balancing everything. Knowing when to study and do your homework and sports is so important and in no way am I perfect at balancing it all but I am starting to get the hang of it I think. The questions that gets asked on pretty much a daily basis this year would be what do you want to do and where do you want to go? Well I am 16 almost 17 so I really have no idea what I am going to do for sure it switches every week. But right now my mind is really set on majoring in Public Relations or marketing something where I can have the opportunity to connect with people and represent a brand or company at social events and what not that would be an absolute dream come true! I also have been interest in possibly minoring in journalism to continue to grow my blog and keep ADashOfKait around for a long time!
As for where I want to go, my heart has been set on Auburn since I was a little girl and it for sure is still an option but last weekend I did have the chance to go and visit Mississippi State and it low-key stole my heart. I loved the people an the campus and of course the football! I don't know where I am going to end up but I know that whatever I do I want it to be something that I have a passion for. I know that these posts can get a little lengthy and boring but I just like to keep you all updated on why I haven't been able to post as much as I want to. I love blogging and I love the positive community of bloggers that I have gotten close with and I am doing everything I can to make sure that I blog as much as I can. I know that you all understand this and I cannot say how thankful I am to have had this website where I can share my thoughts and feelings with so many of you for almost 2 years. I have gotten so many amazing experiences through blogging and I cannot wait to continue this journey with all of you!
Love for all of you

PUMPKINS!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN MY LOVELIES! A few weeks ago I had the privilege to be accompanied by my one and only CinciPrep to go to our local farm and visit the pumpkin patch! We had so much fun together taking pictures and going on a hayride it was so so much fun. I love fall oh so much! I was wearing a J Crew Vest and Sweater with elbow patches which I am just heart-eyed over this season. My leggings were the fleece lined leggings from Anthropology and my shoes were my fall faves: LL Bean Boots! I am looking forward to a fun filled Halloween this evening! I will keep you updated on my costume!
Eats lots of candy & be safe!

Nights @ Nippert
Sorry this post has been so delayed quite a few things have happened in the past few weeks to delay this post but don't worry I am back and here is the newest post to A Dash Of Kait! Growing up here in Cincinnati you are taught two things- love chili and cheer on the Bearcats. A few weeks back I was lucky enough to get to attend the UC game vs. Miami, Florida! IT was a great game and the Bearcats won. I kept it chic and sport for this evening and of course with it being a blackout it gave me the opportunity to pair some of my favorite things together: leggings and my baseball cap! Loved spending some time with my family and my lovely boyfriend, Connor! Enjoy this look and go Cats if you follow UC let me know I would love to meet some more fellow Bearcat fans!!
Until next time,
